Wow. This is a really good piece, both in concept and execution. The obvious thing to do would be to put him in a totally dark room, but the way you've kept it mostly white gives a sense of the cold encroaching but by bit. And great work on the anatomy and positioning, it's amongst the best I think you've done yet. So kudos for that. And also great work on the shading and shadows, particularly on the face. I think your style is really suited to this kind of picture. Anyhow, it's nice to see a vision from your fanfic, and I think this portrays Remy's feelings and emotions nicely. Thanks so much for sharing.

I agree that your style is really suited to this type of drawing. Harsh black and white suits you very well- perhaps I myself will try some of this type of drawing. Here, I have to wonder if this person is male or female; I cannot tell and a part of me does not want to tell- that this is the every-person, alone. In a corner. I especially like the splay of the shadows; because they're theoretically nonsensical. Ie, the light source doesn't match the shadows, which also splay out in two different directions. I like it, though. It makes the shadows feel like a void; and at the same time, a protective wing, shielding said person within. A raven's wing. I like this type of drawing.

It's not my most favorite piece of yours, I will admit. But it's interesting to look at. It makes you think, really study the form. Is she/he holding something? The person looks almost greek in dress, but different in face.

Most favorite is redundant, Jen.
